Scheduled to be held between March 24 and April 4, 2025, the Maritime Games 2025 will take place in Mumbai, culminating in a grand finale on April 5, 2025, which coincides with National Maritime Day.

The LOGO for National Maritime Games has been unveiled by the Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways on 22nd January 2025.

This event will serve as a national championship, celebrating the achievements and rich cultural heritage of India’s maritime sector.

The scope of the Maritime Games 2025 extends beyond just a competition—it aims to:

• Foster engagement and networking among stakeholders across the maritime industry, creating opportunities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
• Promote health and well-being within the maritime community, encouraging physical activity and fitness among professionals.
• Showcase the maritime sector’s rich history and highlight its significant contributions to the nation’s development and economy.
• Strengthen teamwork and unity across various maritime entities, including ship management companies, crewing agencies, ports, training institutes, law firms, and more.

The games will feature 12 dynamic sports such as Cricket, Futsal, Badminton, Table Tennis, Marathon, Golf, Indoor Rowing, Chess, Swimming, and will bring together participants from ship management companies, crewing agencies, ports, maritime training institutes, law firms, and other stakeholders. It is expecting over 3,000 participants from across the maritime sector, making this a major event for networking, wellness, and industry bonding.

This year’s event will be a single-location championship; however, the vision is to expand the Maritime Games into zonal championships (East, West, North, and South) in future years.

The Maritime Games 2025 aligns with the objectives of the Khelo India – National Programme for Development of Sports, contributing to the holistic development of individuals while promoting national pride and creating economic opportunities through sports.
